Welcome to University Kids—a place where faith is active, creativity is encouraged, and kids are celebrated! From first giggles to big questions, children from birth through 5th grade are invited to learn about God through play, worship, friendship, and service. Whether they’re singing, creating, listening, or moving, kids experience God’s love in ways made just for them.

At University UMC, we believe children are not just the future of the church—they are an important part of the church right now. We love children and joyfully welcome them in all worship services.

Young Children

Gentle beginnings filled with love, play, and discovery

Nursery

Children from infancy through age 4 receive nurturing care while learning through play, music, and gentle routines.

Our nursery is available during Sunday morning worship services and Bible studies (upon request), providing a safe and loving environment for your little ones.

Wiggle Church

Wiggle Church is a joyful midweek gathering for families with young children. Families share dinner, play, and worship together in Community Hall on Thursdays.

Playtime begins at 5 PM, followed by worship at 5:30 PM and dinner at 6 PM . It’s relaxed, fun, and designed with young bodies and hearts in mind.

Children Grades K–5

Growing faith through friendship, learning, and service

Kids Space

Children ages 4 years–5th Grade begin worship with their families during both Sanctuary Worship (10 AM) and Community Worship (11 AM) before heading to Kids Space during the sermon.

Kids Space is a fun, interactive environment where kids explore Bible stories through conversation, creativity, and hands-on learning. They'll make new friends, discover God's love, and grow in faith before rejoining their families for the close of worship.

BLAST! (Believing, Loving, and Serving Together)

BLAST! meets once each month, usually on the second Sunday, from 12:15–2 PM. Children enjoy lunch, games, and meaningful activities as they explore what it looks like to put faith into action through service and love.
