Welcome to University Kids—a place where faith is active, creativity is encouraged, and kids are celebrated! From first giggles to big questions, children from birth through 5th grade are invited to learn about God through play, worship, friendship, and service. Whether they’re singing, creating, listening, or moving, kids experience God’s love in ways made just for them.

At University UMC, we believe children are not just the future of the church—they are an important part of the church right now. We love children and joyfully welcome them in all worship services.

Young Children

Gentle beginnings filled with love, play, and discovery

Nursery

Children from infancy through age 4 receive nurturing care while learning through play, music, and gentle routines.

Our nursery is available during Sunday morning worship services and Bible studies (upon request), providing a safe and loving environment for your little ones.

Wiggle Church

Wiggle Church is a joyful midweek gathering for families with young children. Families share dinner, play, and worship together in Community Hall on Thursdays.

Playtime begins at 5:00pm, followed by worship at 5:30pm. It’s relaxed, fun, and designed with young bodies and hearts in mind.

Children Grades K–5

Growing faith through friendship, learning, and service

Kids’ Space

During Community Worship at 11:00am, children may choose to participate in Kids’ Space—a fun and engaging discipleship time with Bible lessons, hands-on activities, and conversation. Kids’ Space helps children build a strong foundation of faith while growing in friendship and understanding.

BLAST! (Believing, Loving, and Serving Together)

BLAST! meets once each month, usually on the second Sunday, from 12:15–2:00pm. Children enjoy lunch, games, and meaningful activities as they explore what it looks like to put faith into action through service and love.

Camp Creative 2026 - Quest of Creativity

Registration for Camp Creative is full. Families are invited to add their child’s name to the waitlist, and we will contact you if a space becomes available.

Student Counselors & Volunteers

Camp Creative also offers a limited number of paid Student Counselor positions for high school students. Individuals are eligible from the end of their first year of high school through the summer immediately following high school graduation.

Middle school students may apply for Student Volunteer positions to assist with camp activities, help support younger campers, and gain valuable leadership experience.

All Student Counselors and Volunteers must complete the application below by Monday, April 13. Interviews will be held May 18-21 & 26-28. Student Counselors and Volunteers will be screened and trained prior to camp.
