SERVICE & MISSION TRIPS

Serve beyond our walls through hands-on mission trips that make a real difference. From building homes in Acuña, Mexico with Casas por Cristo, to serving in San Antonio, Kansas City, and Tulsa, each trip offers meaningful ways to grow and give back. Most recently, teams have helped repair damage from Central Texas flooding — serving with purpose together.

First Sunday Sack Lunches

Help pack hundreds of sandwiches and meals for men, women, and children served by Presbyterian Night Shelter. This simple, hands-on opportunity makes a direct and immediate impact, offering nourishment and care while bringing our community together in service.

VIP (VOLUNTEER IN PERSON)

Serve lunch alongside a UUMC team at Presbyterian Night Shelter on the 4th Thursday of each month (January–October). This in-person opportunity creates space to build relationships, offer hospitality, and connect with our neighbors in a meaningful and personal way.

JOURNEY HOME FOOD CLOSET

Support residents in permanent supportive housing by helping stock and sustain the Journey Home Food Closet. This ministry provides supplemental groceries when resources are tight, helping create stability and ongoing support for those transitioning into long-term housing.

“I Can Do That” is a simple way to jump in and serve. Each month, we offer a fresh list of 5–8 hands-on projects and activities you can say yes to right away. These opportunities are approachable, meaningful, and designed to help you share your gifts, stay connected, and make a difference — together.

HERITAGE CHOIR

Share your love of singing and help lead worship through music. The Heritage Choir welcomes all voices — no experience necessary. If you have the desire to sing, there’s a place for you as we create meaningful worship that inspires and encourages.

COMMUNITY WORSHIP TEAM

Use your creativity, musical gifts, or technical skills to help lead worship. Whether playing an instrument, singing, running sound or slides, or shaping the worship space, there’s a place for you. No experience required — we’ll help you grow while creating meaningful worship together.

BERRY SWEET BABIES

Support families with young children by helping provide essential items like clothing, diapers, wipes, and baby furniture at no cost. Berry Sweet Babies offers a welcoming, dignity-centered space for parents in the Fort Worth area. Serve by organizing donations, assisting families, or helping create a place of care and encouragement.

TCU GAME DAY PARKING

Help welcome TCU fans while supporting the missions and ministries of UUMC. Game Day Parking is our biggest fundraiser of the year, raising more than $20,000 last season. Volunteer for one or more home games to greet fans and collect parking donations — and help turn game day into meaningful impact.

SUNDAY MORNING HOSPITALITY

Help make Sunday mornings warm and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors! Serve as a greeter, help set up the coffee bar, or lend a hand with other hospitality needs. Whether you serve once or regularly, your friendly presence helps people feel at home at UUMC.
