Welcome to our Early Learners 1 Classroom!

Children Who Are Under Age 2 on September 1

Children build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and grow more independent in a caring, encouraging environment. Teachers support each child as they form friendships, express their wants and needs, and begin potty training when they are ready.

Learning and Development: Thematic learning units, hands-on activities, and daily circle time introduce colors, shapes, numbers, vocabulary-building skills, and Spanish words. During the summer, children explore playful, seasonally inspired learning units.

Growing Independence: Children practice using words, following classroom routines, making age-appropriate choices, caring for themselves, and interacting positively with classmates.

Following Their Progress: Families receive developmental assessments at the beginning, middle, and end of the year to help them understand and celebrate their child’s growth.

Included Enrichment:

  • Chapel with Ms. Andrea, UUMC University Kids Director

  • Stretch ’N Grow physical activity program

  • Music with Mr. Russell
