Welcome to Our Preschool Classroom!
Children Who Are Age 3 on or Before September 1
Children strengthen the academic, social, and practical skills they need for kindergarten and beyond. Our pre-kindergarten preparation combines structured routines, purposeful play, and age-appropriate challenges to help children grow into confident, capable learners.
Children must be fully potty trained before entering this class.
Learning and Development: Intentional instruction and hands-on activities support kindergarten readiness while expanding children’s knowledge of letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. A new letter and number are introduced each week, while the same color and shape are explored for four weeks to reinforce learning.
Early Math and Fine-Motor Skills: Children are introduced to individual and whole-class graphing, patterns, one-to-one correspondence, and simple addition. Daily cutting activities strengthen the fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination needed for early writing and classroom tasks.
Faith and Belonging: Faith is woven throughout each day through praise and worship songs, movement, prayer, and Bible stories brought to life through videos, games, conversation, and dramatic play. Children learn a new Bible verse every two weeks, practice the pledges to the American and Texas flags and the Bible, and close chapel time in prayer.
Following Their Progress: Developmental assessments are completed at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. Families may schedule a parent-teacher conference after each assessment to discuss their child’s progress, goals, and pre-kindergarten development.
