We ENCOUNTER GOD (Isaiah 6:1-8closeIsaiah 6:1-8 Isaiah's Vision of the Lord 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”
And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” Isaiah's Commission from the Lord And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” (ESV)

) in all we do. We celebrate God’s presence and seek to hear God’s call on our lives especially through our worship. Each month we will experience worship together as a community on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, and at other events, activities, trips, and retreats.

We PROCESS TRUTH (John 8:32closeJohn 8:32 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (ESV) closeJohn 8:32closeJohn 8:32 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (ESV) 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (ESV) ) in our study of scripture and the tradition of the church. By design, Sunday school is a perfect opportunity for the open dialogue and discovery of information relevant to the building up of faith in God through Jesus Christ. We will also process truth as a community throughout each month on Sunday nights. We will use various resources, including Scripture, writings of the early church fathers and mothers, and other sources in this endeavor. All participants are expected to consult these sources in order that they may be informed and prepared for discussion.

We seek to CHANGE THE WORLD (Mathew 25:34-40closeMatthew 25:34-40 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (ESV) closeMatthew 25:34-40closeMatthew 25:34-40 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (ESV) 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ (ESV) ) by our service to our local, national, and global communities. Each month we will engage in acts of compassion and kindness to these communities during Sunday mornings and Sunday nights. We will also discuss and dialogue current events and issues that require our attention and focus in order to better serve this purpose as a community.
